First off the pineapples. The ones that are so expensive are large perfect ones at $6 per pound. They come boxed at the farmers market and look impressive. We have bought little tiny ones twice about the size of a softball for 5 euros or $6 and they were really good. Part of one went bad the third day in the fridge and was bubbling and I think we could have tried the alcoholic drink then.
Okay the clouds are gone today but it still is windy. When grandma complained I reminded her that without wind the islands would never have been discovered after all they sailed here. We walked down the coast as usual. Because of the winds the waves were fun to watch. A small navy ship entered the harbor.
Luckily the wind direction blows us home. Yesterday I forgot to mention that o the way home there were all kinds of things going on. 2 large police vans people gathered in the street, people looking out their windows. A lot of tension. I asked a guy we see all the time what had happened yesterday and he told a story of shooting and attempted suicide. When we arrived back to the apartment I grabbed the newspaper that often gets slid under the front door and read the story. A guy got in a disagreement with his girlfriend used an air rifle to shoot out his window then shot some windows out in cars and when the police came threatened to jump but his girlfriend talked him down. While we were there two ambulance came and took him away. Remember we had circled up above to drop down and visit the pineapple place and arrived at the end instead of being caught in it.We ate and hurried with the elders to an appointment then we needed to buy a new mixer as our little cheap one caught fire and died. We got a cheap version of a kitchen aide and then I went to a leadership meeting. Lots of talking all at the same time very fast nothing resolved. I am glad I love it here. If it hurt so much there are times I would pull out all my hair. I walked home late it was really dark, kind of neat. We love you all.

The pineapple sounds delicious. I love fresh fruit.
Those pineapples are tinier than I thought they were, the size of a softball. They sound so delicious. Love you both! Love Ashley!
Glad you weren’t caught in the middle of the police encounter!
