Thursday November 4

Although a lot of the plants have started to lose heir flowers and leaves a few are still thriving.. with the time change it’s different to go on my solo walk in daylight. I try to appreciate the weather, the people, all the neat things I see, but since I have included pictures and comments on most of this before I tend to not take as many pictures. We headed out for our walk and it was 65 and windy. To me it was a nice fall day. The air smells of fall. I think some of the smell I have always associated with fall comes from the leaves as they dry out and fall. Our apartment had that smell until the leaves grandma taped up were so dry it disappeared. We didn’t walk far today as the wind was blowing hard against us. The waves were really something even the small boats within the more protected parts of the harbor were slamming around. We turned for home and the wind helped move us along. We had the car this morning so off to get my guitar which was getting new strings. We had missed our shopping opportunity on Monday because of our adventure so we stopped at the store. I still think some of the fresh produce is as pretty as the flowers. The green acorn shaped cabbage, the peppers, and the red cabbage.

We hurried home to put the food away as we needed to give a member a ride to lunch with the elders. We ate kebabs again. I still would rather eat anything else but they wanted to buy it for the member as a bit of payback for all the times she has fed them. We ate down by the ocean sitting on a bench watching the small boats being tossed around by the waves. We returned the member to her home and then back to the apartment so the elders could get the car for their appointment. I spent some time trying to figure out what we can do to be more productive and we will see if that has any merit. We seem to plan a lot for little action. We did have a day with fewer steps, sometimes that feels good. We called Logan to check on Cherie. Before putting anything here I need more info, but the kids seem to be doing well. We love you all.

Does a lot of produce get wasted in Portugal? It looks so pretty in the market but I know it quickly goes bad because of the humidity…We have a thankful tree up in our house that we write things we are grateful for, you guys made the cut! Remind me and we will show it to you tomorrow on the video call, love ya!

Walking in the wind isn't very fun but you still got to go out and have adventures. Fall is such a beautiful time of year and I love the colors of the leaves as well as all the fresh produce.
