Wednesday November 17

Well today we needed tires. All four were shot so we dropped the car off at the tire store and went for a walk. The tire store is across the street from the park where I walk each morning alone to exercise. In the daylight we could see lots of lizards in the rock walls.

While circling the traffic circle there are these racks where the fishermen make nets. They string the larger strong main ones back and foth, then weave and ti the smaller shorter ones. The one time we saw them doing it there were several men all working on the same net. As you can see these nets are huge. I asked in the marine store if all the nets were hand made and from the answer she thought it was silly to think there were any other kind.

Back to the park I did my exercises and as we were leaving I took the picture of grandma and the flowers. I noticed this flower with as many spines as a cactus.
With the size and everything it would make a formidable hedge around raspberry patches or other places people tend to snitch from. We walked along the coast a little then time to head back. I helped a couple push their car out onto the street where it could roll down the hill and start. There was a pretty new ford raptor truck in the gas station.
We got the car back and went to the farmers market. Home for lunch clean up and out on visits with the missionaries. We next switched over to going with the member couple on some visits. It was wonderful. We arrived home about 10:00. Busy day we love you all.

Ashley the glowing thing when we were changing the tire is a reflective marker we placed up the road so cars coming towards us would be aware and hopefully not run into us in the dark.

Jim I normally call those little spare tires donuts also guess I just have pizza on the mind. Thank goodness life is an adventure.

Thanks for explaining about the reflector, that makes more sense. I love that flower with the cactus spines. That is cool that they hand make the fishing nets. Love you both! Love Ashley!
